Haven’t touched the site in several months so I thought I’d redesign it. I’ve been meaning to for a while. This has been the easiest time I’ve had putting things together, so, yay! I think the comments may be broken again. That’s next on the list. It’s also not valid, but that’s the fault of some plug-ins. There’s more to go but I’m a lot more happy with this design. It’s also a lot simpler. Before I had all sorts of corner images I was trying to place. Now my main problem is how to make the sidebar extend all the way down. –Edit: Just got it valid. It was partly my fault. A </ul> I forgot to comment out.

Went to LA a few weeks ago with my parents, sister, and niece on a buying trip. Pictures. Went to the LA Zoo with my dad and niece. It was quite fun. Been a while since I’ve been to a zoo. Not much more to say…

So, I moved… A while ago. Now I’m in North Seattle. I really like it here. It’s right around the corner from a bus stop that goes straight downtown. Much better than ~1 mile down a hill then back up again. There’s also a big Asian market across the street, as well as a movie theater, a Starbucks(*gasp*), two teriyaki shops, an IHOP, and a used game store all within a block. Good stuff!

Also went to PAX a few weeks ago. That was awesome as expected. Pictures taken by me here. I was able to buy the new MC Frontalot album 3 months early and got it signed! Ran into a friend from Texas I haven’t seen in a while. Got to see Starcraft 2, Mirror’s Edge, Fallout 3, Darth Vader and two Stormtroopers playing Rockband 2, a little bit of Left4Dead, and Dragon Age: Origins. The t-shirt I got at the Dragon Age booth was neat, however the coolest thing I got was a Vault Boy hand puppet. Good stuff!

I recently finally popped in the DVD that came with my copy of Unreal Tournament 3. It contains various videos on using the map editor, UnrealEd. UT3 it self is a bit disappointing, but hopefully they can patch the suck out of it… The editor, however, is quite interesting and fun, if a bit buggy. I’ve only made some very basic maps following along with the videos, but I think I could really get into this. I really like the way the scripting interface, Kismet, works. If I actually make anything worthwhile, I’ll post some stuff. Good Stuff!

I think my job tonight is going to suck. Not because it’s the actual work wont be enjoyable, but because it’s from 5:30pm to 11:30pm in Woodinville. I’m going to have to leave early from the job so I can even get home on. Then, the bus ride involves taking a bus to downtown Seattle waiting 45-50 minutes for another bus at 11:40 to ta— Just got a call from Express. I’ll actually be in downtown Bellevue. That’ll be much so better! Must go plan a route now…

Just a quick post before I go out into the following. It’s snowing here in Bend. Not unusual for this time of year, but the last few have been really weak for snow.

So, I run out to the bus stop, shortly after I had written the first part of this, only to have the bus pass me right by. After a bit of shock I made some gestures and some words then resign my self to walking. Luckily a guy saw this happen and gave me a ride to the bead store. His name was Matt C(something…Coleman?), went to Bend High, graduated the same year I did. Cool guy.

Back in Bend once again. Back home on the 10th. Will be working in the bead store again. Should be fun or so. I hope to do a bit of hanging out with friends. I should find Dane and knock some sense into him as I understand he’s gone into some sort of self pity mode. I have to take my Grandma to a doctor’s appointment one of these days… I should probably call my mom tomorrow and ask when that was again. I’m going to have to take some sort of taxi to do it tho. Them things are really expensive! $14 to get home from the bus last night. Would have been $19 if I hadn’t shared a cab with someone else. It’s stupid that the city buses here stop at 6pm. It’ll make general transportation more difficult. Bah!

Anyway, Blue Man Group was teh awesome, as expected! Some pictures are here.

I really should find a good gallery plugin now that I have a camera and want to be posting pictures and such. I recently took a bunch of pictures as I walked back up the hill from the coffee shop at sunset. Got some not so bad photos.

Well, the front page is mostly done except for getting all the text sizing correct and some code tweaks on the side bar to make it comply with XHTML 1.0 Strict. Other than that I need to rewrite the code for the comment layout and fix the single post pages. Most of it is a lot of CSS work. Bla!

I’ll be heading to Bend on the 26th. I’ll be taking a bus to Portland, hanging out for 3 hours, then getting on another bus to Bend. Hopefully I will get some work done there…

Was going to go to sleep, but I really felt like doing something. So, I decided to listen to music, write a post, then continue work on the site.

Well, I didn’t go to the LAN. I was going to go out and do something. I did, however, not. I did nothing. I mean I found some more cousins and presents in Beautiful Katamari. But I could have done that any day. Still the thought of sleeping on concrete or in my chair when I got tired didn’t seem to appeal to me at the time. I really intended to do something with the day tho. Oh well. I’ll most likely go to the next one.

It would be nice to have more friends here. I mean, I’ve met several people here since I’ve been here, but I don’t really know anyone well enough to call them up and go hang out. I think going to school again would help that. Unfortunately I can’t really do that for a while as it’s way to expensive till I have residency which is still about 5 months away.

Wow, have I really been here 7 months already? Crazy!

I think I’m out of things to say. I guess I’ll go work on the site now…

Looks like I’ll going back to Bend at the end of the month. My parents are going on a buying trip to the biggest bead show in the world (I think) in Tuscon AZ and they want me to house sit as well as being there if something happens to my Grandma. I’ll be working back at the bead store again which should be fun. It’s only for about two weeks. Unfortunately I have no form of personal transportation which is a problem if something happens with my Grandma and I need to get over there quickly. She lives on the other side of town as well. Hopefully something will be worked out…

There’s a LAN coming up tomorrow, but I don’t really want to go for some reason… I fell I’ve gone into a depressive mode in the last week. No idea why. I’ll just have to wait it out. Something will pull me out of it. Something always does… Music seems to help.

Should probably go back to working on the site…

I’ll be in Bend for a week. Should return with a laptop. This should help a lot in the development of this site. It’ll allow me to work on it wherever, away from distractions at home.
